Privacy Policy

1. The short version
Snug Concerts is an Atlanta based nonprofit, and we keep your information to a minimum: enough to run your account, get you into shows, process tickets and donations, and, only if you choose, send you news. We do not sell your personal information. We never see or store your full payment card number. This policy explains what we collect and the choices you have.
2. What we collect
- Account information you give us: your name, email, username, and the role details for how you take part (for example an artist’s act name, music, and links; a host’s space and city; an affiliate’s organization; a booking manager’s agency).
- Ticket and donation information: what you bought or gave, and when. Payment itself is handled by our processor; we receive a confirmation and limited details, not your full card number.
- Messages you send us, such as through the contact form or an application.
- Email preferences, including whether you opted in to our newsletter.
- Basic usage information your browser shares automatically, such as device and pages viewed, and cookies, to keep the site working and understand what is useful.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not store your full payment card number, that stays with our payment processor. We do not send you marketing email unless you asked us to.
4. How we use your information
To run your account and the shows you take part in, process tickets and donations, send you the transactional messages a show needs (confirmations, reminders, receipts), send you the newsletter if you opted in, keep the site safe and working, and meet our legal and accounting obligations as a nonprofit.
5. When we share, and with whom
We share your information only to run the network:
- Service providers who work for us under their own privacy commitments, including Stripe (payments), our email providers (transactional email and, for the newsletter, Mailchimp), our website host, and basic analytics.
- Hosts and artists, in a limited way needed to run a show, for example a guest list to the host so they know who is coming. We share the minimum needed and not payment details.
- Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect people, the network, or our rights.
We do not sell your information or share it for someone else’s advertising.
6. Email and your choices
If you opted in to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe any time using the link in any newsletter, or by contacting us. Transactional emails tied to a ticket, donation, or account are not marketing and may still be sent so we can serve you. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information through snugconcerts.org/contact, and we will respond as the law requires.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember choices, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements for a nonprofit, then we delete or de-identify it.
9. Children
Snug Concerts is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including handling payments through a PCI-compliant processor so we never hold card numbers. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, reach us through snugconcerts.org/contact. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the network grows. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know where appropriate.
