Backyard Jazz Concert with Tara and Nicolas

After weeks of rain and an unexpected postponement on Mother’s Day weekend, the stars finally aligned for a beautiful Father’s Day weekend backyard Snug Concert hosted by Tara and Nicolas. Guests arrived eager for a long-awaited evening of live jazz, carrying dishes, drinks, and outdoor chairs to share in the warm, cozy, bring-what-you-can atmosphere that defines Snug Concerts.

As the sun dipped below the trees, Chris Burroughs on drums, Craig Shaw on upright bass, and Tyrone Jackson on keys took their places and transformed the backyard into an intimate jazz haven. Their set flowed with rich melodies, soulful improvisation, and spontaneous magic with each note inviting the audience deeper into the moment.

The evening felt like a true neighborhood gathering: friends and new faces mingled over shared plates, laughter and conversation floated between songs, and the music wove everyone together in a shared, soul-nourishing experience. The night was made even more special by the delicious homemade cakes prepared by Nicolas, adding a personal, sweet touch to an already memorable evening.

This wasn’t just a rescheduled show; it was a powerful reminder of the resilience and magic that live music brings to a community. Thank you to everyone who waited out the rain, joined us and helped keep the spirit of intimate, artist-centered concerts alive. Your presence made this night unforgettable.
